Working on last side border Jolly Holly Days quilt

Oh my Christmas is fast approaching and I'm so happy to say the last sashing between the quilt and last border is pinned ready to be sewn in place. It is very slow when I can only do a bit each day, but I'm learning a great lesson called PATIENCE. I have the last border ready to sew in place once I get this sashing step completed. Then I'll be making the binding (long strips joined together, ironed in half and then sewn to the very edge of the quilt) getting it ready for sewing to the quilt. After that step comes the little label......Thankfully I have now until mid/end of January to finish before gifting to a friend who has been like a daughter to my Mum all these months past, and still to come.
