From Jan 2010 to Mar 2010.....in a drive way in Bayfield, Ont.....the snow has gone from that to this.....spring really is here now when I see the difference in the snow piled front of our little car.
Today Lou and I went for a wee spring jaunt to Bayfield. Could this be called cabin fever. Had to get out from the city and into the country spaces. We had a little walk on a country road. The smell of spruce was everywhere. Here and there about the area we could see people out working on their lawns. Raking, rolling and just getting it ready for the hot times ahead.
On the way to Bayfield, which is a little over 1 hr drive we had sun every now and then peeking through the clouds. Then on the way home later in the afternoon the rain started. It was gently washing away the remains of the dirty snow still lying on the side of the road. White, sparkly snow is one thing,,,,but the spring remains surely leaves a lot to be desired in my estimation. Mounds here and there of dark, dirty, no longer white piles. Oh yes, spring is definitely on the way. Won't be long now.
